The term folk belief includes all perceptions and practices aimed at preventing and removing the bad thus attracting the goods that come from the natural environment or a world of superior forces. These beliefs are part of religious worship which is established based on a reciprocal relationship between the believer and the divine, while featuring various events of the life cycle (i.e. birth, marriage, death). Magic enchantments, spells, blessings and curses are all incorporated within a ritual intended to exclude evil forces. Future Prediction (i.e. oracles) are also customary practices that have survived for the same reasons, to deter evil spirits. Similar customary practices combine the elements of empirical observations from the audience with the forces of nature or divine intervention. Local people of mountainous communities resorted to such beliefs in order to cope with various diseases.
